Three yard waste sites open through winter

Three sites will remain open to the public on a limited basis from December through March. Two sites in St. Paul (Midway and Frank & Sims) and the White Bear Township site are open one weekend per month, on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road in Mahtomedi, presents Conrad Susa's beloved "Carols & Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest" performed on Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. by the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers with harp, guitar and marimba under the direction of Philip Brunelle.

The world-premiere screening of the West St. Paul Optimist Club Holiday Show will be held Monday, Dec. 4, at the West St. Paul Armory. The show, which was taped in October at Town Square Television Studios, features many area musicians and performers in a festive musical show.
