NEWSBRIEF: High School graduation rates continue to rise

More Minnesota seniors than ever before graduated in 2018, according to the Department of Education. Statewide, 55,869 students — 83.2% of the graduating class overall, the state’s highest graduation rate on record — got their diploma.

Bear shot to death in North St. Paul

After determining a bear that had wandered into North St. Paul to be an immediate safety threat, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources shot and killed the animal April 25.
