Dakota County sponsors conference on strengthening communities

Community members, business owners and government leaders are invited to participate in a summit to discuss the impact on society as Boomers age. Dakota County Public Health is sponsoring the Living Longer: The Power and Possibilities, Strengthening Communities for a Lifetime summit from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 11 at the Rosemount Community Center, 13885 S. Robert Trail, Rosemount. Keynote speaker John Migliaccio, former director of research and gerontology at MetLife Mature Market Institute, will talk about demographic changes, boomer trends and innovation in aging. Breakout sessions will feature topics like housing, transportation, a multigenerational workforce, long-term care and mental illness in older adults.
