Jerry J. Sankot

Jerry J. Sankot, age 64, of New Brighton, died on March 14, 2015. He was born on September 17, 1950, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, to Frank and Eleanor Sankot. Jerry earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University, as well as associate’s degrees in clock repair and watch repair. He was a licensed professional engineer and a member of the ASQC/ASQ, the Minnesota Clockmakers Guild and the Minnesota NAWCC-OT Lang Chapter. He last worked for EcoWater in Woodbury. Jerry was also a member of the MSUS Church community. He had struggled with his health since a 2003 diagnosis of multiple brain tumors.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janice; daughter, Jennifer (Jon) Harrington; siblings, Patricia (Roger) Pacanowski, Margret, Tom (Kathy), Jim (Judy), and Bill; other family and dear friends. Jerry’s family extends their gratitude to his family and friends, the staff at Johanna Shores, the University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospitals and its clinics and hospice, and North Suburban Family Physicians-Roseville.
