St. Anthony junior qualifies for state gymnastics meet

Victoria Farias, a junior at St. Anthony Village High School, is set to represent her school at Saturday’s state gymnastics meet. Farias qualified for the Class A meet in two events.

Farias will compete at state on the vault and balance beam. She qualified for state via her performances at the Section 4A meet on Feb. 13 at Roseville Area High School.

Farias qualified for the vault by posting a score of 9.15 and finishing third. The top four competitors in each discipline advance to state along with the top four all-around scorers.

On the beam, Farias scored a 9.05 and finished fourth to make state in that event.
