Caregiver Support program

FamilyMeans’ Caregiver Support program is seeking volunteers to help families that are caring for a loved one get a much needed break. Volunteers do not provide any medical or daily living care, and are there for companionship and supervision only. Oakdale and Lake Elmo are among the Washington County cities in need of volunteers for day, evening or weekend hours.

Volunteers can choose to spend time with children or seniors. FamilyMeans is looking for all sorts of volunteers including men, women, teenagers 16 and older, seniors and volunteer pairs. Some people can volunteer as little as twice a month for a two hour visit. For more information please contact volunteer coordinator Dianne Vierling at 651-789-4055 or avierling@familymeans.org.
