Northeast Metro Stars girls hockey day

Hockey Day Minnesota is slated for Saturday, Jan. 21 with most of the festivities taking place in Stillwater. The Northeast Metro Stars are hosting their own Girls Hockey Day on the same date.

The Metro Stars, which is comprised of girls from the Tartan and Johnson/Como/North St. Paul hockey associations, are hosting six games at Tartan Arena on Jan. 21.

Games start at 11:45 a.m. and the final contest of the day is scheduled to face off at 6 p.m. The 8U team starts things off against Johnson/Como/North St. Paul and is followed by the 10UB taking on New Prague at 1 p.m. The 12UB Red squad plays White Bear Lake at 2:15 p.m., the 12UB Blue team faces Blaine/Spring Lake Park at 3:30 p.m., the 12UA squad welcomes South St. Paul at 4:45 p.m. and the 15UA team plays Forest Lake in the final game of the day.

In addition to the hockey action, there will also be raffles for prizes, chuck-a-puck for a chance to win some cash and food offerings such as walking tacos and pizza.
