Watches, necklaces, rings and more at Greg Foote Jewelers

Whatever the occasion — an anniversary, wedding, birthday or holiday — Greg Foote Jewelers in Oakdale is the place to shop for the perfect, personalized gift.

With more than 35 years of experience in the jewelry sales and repair business, Greg and his staff — graduate gemologist Jean Hoerth, and customer service specialists Shelley Roekse and Tina Reeves — are able to offer personalized jewelry service.

“We’re a neighborhood store, and customers can talk directly to the person who works on their jewelry,” Greg says.

With jewelry for both men and women, Greg Foote Jewelers has a large variety of pieces and styles to offer. Customers can shop for engagement rings, anniversary gifts, earrings, pendants, bracelets and designer watches.

There are plenty of watches to pick from if you’re in need of an update. Greg Foote Jewelers is a licensed Seiko watch dealer. Other brands offered include the Michael Couch, Allison-Kaufman and Benchmark collections.

The store also carries a new line of sterling silver jewelry by Peter James. Greg says this handcrafted collection is free form and contemporary.

“I think it’s nice to carry a well-rounded inventory; something for everybody,” Greg says, noting he’s happy to provide consultations for customized orders as well.

If you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for, the jewelers will work with you to create a custom-made piece that’s not only beautiful, but also fits your budget.

With an in-store studio, work is done on-site. The laser welder allows Greg and Jean the ability to tackle more delicate jobs, including repairs.

Besides jewelry repairs, the store also specializes in watch repairs, and pearl and bead restringing.

Jean is a graduate gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America, meaning she is well qualified to appraise pieces. She says the California-based Gemological Institute is “the gold standard in our industry. You get trained by them and what they say goes.”

Her expert training gives customers the peace of mind that their jewelry is being accurately evaluated for estate and insurance purposes. As an added benefit, the store keeps a computer file and paper copy of all its appraisals.

Shopping for an anniversary gift, updating a family heirloom or restoring a damaged piece — whatever the occasion — Greg knows the key to good business is building lasting customer relationships.

“That’s what we rely on — people who have been satisfied telling other people,” Greg says.
