Despite a cold snap earlier this month, temperatures exceeded fall norms on Sept. 14, warming to the low 90s. Instead of sweaters, folks wore bathing suits to Tony Schmidt Regional Park in Arden Hills, where fallen leaves covered a trail. Several miles to the east, Khue Vang went to Vadnais Snail Lakes Regional Park on his lunch break, casting his line into Sucker Lake, “For a moment outside,” he said.
