SAVHS principal resigns, takes leave

The St. Anthony-New Brighton School Board approved the resignation of St. Anthony Village High School Principal Wayne Terry during its meeting Jan. 2. 

Terry wll be on leave for the rest of the school year, with his resignation becoming effective June 30. 

According to a statement from district Superintendent Robert Laney, St. Anthony Middle School Principal Dr. Renee Corneille will be reassigned as principal of the high school through June 30.

Amy Kujawski will serve as interim principal of St. Anthony Middle School through June 30. Kujawski is listed on the St. Anthony Middle School website as an instructional and equity coach. 

Laney announced his retirement in November. It also takes effect on June 30.

Laney noted in the statement that interviews for the new superintendent are scheduled to end on Feb. 28. The new superintendent’s contract will be approved on March 27 and that person will begin the job on July 1. 

After a superintendent is selected, Laney said, the high school principal position will be posted and candidates will be interviewed.
