Decoding the mystery of the teen domain

The North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District is hosting a free Top Secret Project presentation for adults and students in fifth grade or older from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the District Education Center, 2520 E. 12th Ave., North St. Paul.

The Top Secret Project is a unique program designed to help parents recognize unfamiliar hazards of teenagers related to drug and alcohol use, disordered eating, self-harm and criminal activity that can often be found in plain sight.

The presentation includes looking at items that, when seen through an educated lens, could be a signal that there’s a problem. Delivered by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation staff, the presentation also involves discussion on what to do if you or someone you know is concerned and provides important resources for families.
