LETTER: End the use of snare traps

To the Editor:

Snare traps are awful and should end. There are practical and ethical boundaries that outdoor sports men and women should follow. The use of snare traps, which are an awful kind of trapping device, goes well beyond those boundaries. Simply put, snare traps are excessively inhumane and cruel as they grab any part of the animal’s body and squeeze it, causing stress and excruciating suffering. These wire nooses are not the way we should be doing things in Minnesota. There’s a right way to do things, and a wrong way. Let’s end snaring, Minnesota. It’s just wrong.
