LETTER: Vote for candidates who put people first

To the Editor:

I’ve lived in St. Paul most of my life and now live on the East Side. I believe that we are at our best as a city and as a state when we are caring for each other and not leaving anyone behind. I’m particularly concerned for low-wage workers and I’ve fought for things like paid sick time, so workers can take care of themselves or their loved ones without worrying about getting fired or losing wages. I want that for every Minnesotan.

We need leaders who aren’t putting corporate interests above what people need to live a decent life. Erin Murphy has fought against corporate interests for years, and I’m voting for her in the DFL gubernatorial primary on Aug. 14, because she is uniting Minnesota around a politics that puts people first.
