The third annual Holiday Craft Fair is being held at Concordia Academy, 2400 N. Dale St. in Roseville on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  With over 85 crafters and vendors there is sure to be something for everyone. The day includes give-aways, holiday music, food and lots of fun. 


‘Ask an Indigenous Person’

View a panel discussion including several community members who will share their voices about the Native experience on Tuesday, Nov. 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Roseville Library, 2180 Hamline Ave. N. Some of the topics that will be discussed include Native Lives Matter, the Dakota Access Pipeline, Native Education and life on a reservation. Presented in partnership with the Ramsey County Library, funding for this program series is provided by the Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries.  


Ramsey County and the 2020 Census

The 2020 Census will determine if Minnesota keeps or loses a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. It will provide valuable data for businesses and local governments to plan for roads, schools and emergency services. How will Ramsey County ensure that racial and ethnic minorities, lower income persons, homeless people, young mobile persons and children are accurately included in the count?

On Tuesday, Nov. 13, the League of Women Voters Roseville Area will feature Jolie Wood from the Ramsey County Policy and Planning Division, speaking on plans that the county is already beginning to put in place to make sure that everyone counts.  

The meeting is 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Autumn Grove Park Building, 1365 Lydia Ave. W. in Roseville. The event is free and open to the public.  


CTV’s ‘Show Us Your Nonprofit’

CTV will air its “Show Us Your Nonprofit” program live on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. The program offers air time to local nonprofit organizations. Each group that registers will receive a five-minute block to speak about their group. CTV is also offering video of group’s time slots for future use, among other offers, for a fee. PeaceMaker, pie and learning

Have a complimentary piece of pie and a cup of coffee while talking about the work of PeaceMaker Minnesota to help schools reduce bullying and teach kids conflict resolution skills. The pie and beverage are compliments of a Thrivent Action Team. Ask for Dan McNeil between 9 and 11 a.m. or 3 and 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, at Perkins, 1495 County B Road in Roseville.


Fall Harvest Family Day celebration

Celebrate the fall harvest with Roseville Parks and Recreation and Shoreview Parks and Recreation.

Join in for fall arts and crafts, carnival games, music, a photo booth, refreshments and fun at Fall Harvest Family Day on Saturday, Nov. 17. The fun start at 10 a.m. and goes until noon at Cedarholm Community Building, 2323 Hamline Ave. N., Roseville.

Kids of all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The cost for children is $10 regular, or $8 for Roseville or Shoreview residents. Adults cost $8 regular or $6 for Roseville or Shoreview residents. Attendees must register in their own city to receive the discount. Pre-registration is required, walk-ins will not be taken.

Anxiety speaker in Roseville

NAMI RamseyCounty is holding an event on anxiety disorders on Monday, Nov. 19, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Roseville Lutheran Church, 1215 Roselawn Ave. in Roseville. The speaker will be Alyson VanAhn. Audubon Society meeting

The St. Paul Audubon Society presents “Climate-Threatened and Endangered Birds of Minnesota,” with Monica Bryand, on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 6:45 at the Fairview Community Center, 1910 County Road B in Roseville. Bryand is a longtime environmental activist who caught the birding bug when some friends took her and her partner birding more than 15 years ago. All are welcome.


RLC quilt sale

The Roseville Lutheran Church Quilters are holding a quilt sale on the weekend of Nov. 9-11. Friday hours will be 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the Veterans Day service and lunch and 6 to 10 p.m. that evening during social events. Saturday hours will be 4 to 10 p.m. for church and concert-goers. Sunday hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Some 140 handmade creations, ranging from baby and lap-size to queen-size quilts, will be available starting at $15. Cash only will be accepted at the sale. Roseville Lutheran Church is located at 1215 Roselawn Ave.
