Roseville students participated in State History Day on May 4. Parkview Center School students Tara Thomson and Ricky Wang-Polendo won first place in the group documentary category for their documentary, “The Missing Siblings of China: The One Child Policy.” Wang-Polendo and Thomson also won the University of Minnesota’s Global Studies Award for the most outstanding junior project on a global topic. Roseville Area Middle School student Abigail Peters won first place for her individual documentary, “Alexander Hamilton: The Triumph and Tragedy of the U. S. Financial System.” All three students will represent Roseville and Minnesota at National History Day in the Washington, D.C., area in June.
