Rat poison kills unintended victims

Ramona Price says she's used to seeing wild critters in her back yard.

Her Oakdale home on Heath Avenue is next to a wooded area and wetlands, and she's watched deer browsing in the mornings and coyotes passing by at dusk.

L.E. Council approves preliminary design for downtown improvements

The Lake Elmo City Council is on board with preliminary design plans for phase I of the downtown street and utility improvements project and wants to see the project move forward to its final design stage.

Former Oakdale mayor Carmen Sarrack said city council members took a large, but calculated risk when they approved the purchase of the empty Oakdale Outlet Mall property in 2010.

Oakdale-native and 2009 Tartan High School graduate Michael Veit made history by being named the University of Minnesota’s first recipient of the prestigious Leroy Apker Award for undergraduate work in physics.
