Council balks at city subsidy for development
Nearly two years to the day since a large apartment project was first floated for the Twin Lakes area in Roseville, the city council closed the door on the development by voting against subsidies for the project.
The council voted 3-2 at its July 20 meeting against furthering discussions with developer Sherman Associates over roughly $2.5 million in tax-increment financing for the project, which was slated to be built at 2785 Fairview Ave., near Terrace Drive in the northwest section of the city.
