RHRA to study Roseville business climate through taskforce

In an effort to better understand the local business environment in the city, the Roseville Housing and Redevelopment Authority (RHRA) has launched a Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) program, funded by Xcel Energy.
Through the BR&E program, the RHRA hopes to accomplish a goal set in its 2012-2016 Strategic Plan to‚ retain and attract desirable housing and businesses that lead to employment, investment, and commitment to the community.

Organized trash collection to be discussed at Roseville City Hall

The Roseville City Council will hold a discussion on organized trash hauling at its Monday, Nov. 18 council meeting.
Roseville does not currently have organized trash collection and its residents are free to choose from any of eight haulers licensed to do residential pick up in the city.

Hoppy and Friends build following at Roseville Dunn Bros

Hoppy and Friends, a group of three seasoned musicians (four if you count the stuffed frog drummer) have been steadily building a following at Dunn Bros Coffee Shop in Roseville on Monday mornings.
The band is made up of Owen Rasmussen, a New Brighton resident originally from Roseville, Wally Walstad of St. Paul and Merlin "Brunkow" Bronco of Minneapolis.  The three men range in age from their mid-sixties to early seventies and have been playing music since they were teenagers, although not together.

Jim DuRose became a Roseville resident when he was just a lad of eight, following his family’s move from St. Paul. He began his career at the Countryside as a dishwasher and bus boy while attending Mounds View High School, graduating from MVHS in 1976.
