Cable Commission transmits clear signal to Comcast

Ramsey and Washington County Comcast customers who subscribe to more than just basic cable channels may have noticed an increase in their cable bills recently, as the company has added some additional fees to several of its services.
At a Ramsey/Washington Counties Suburban Cable Commission meeting March 14, commissioners from 12 suburbs met to discuss the validity of the new charges.

Dogs poisoned with rodenticide in St. Anthony

Barbara Subak returned home from an outing on Saturday, Feb 16 to find her two loving canine companions, Billy and Spirit in serious trouble.  Both dogs had severe diarrhea and she knew instantly something was wrong when she saw Billy vomiting large amounts of blood.
The 8-year-old, mixed-breed rescue dog from Oklahoma died a short time later in her owner’s home.

Owasso street realignment project approved by Shoreview council

At a March 4 meeting Shoreview council members unanimously approved plans and specifications for the realignment and reconstruction of an 800-foot section of Owasso Street near the County Road E and Victoria Street intersection.
The estimated $3 million project will involve moving part of Owasso Street to the north and aligning it with the western leg of County Road E.

The future of Arlington Hills Library

U.S. President Woodrow Wilson signed legislation in 1916 creating the National Park Service.
The Chicago Cubs played their first game at Wrigley Field that year, and here in St. Paul, workers were building Arlington Hills Library.
The structure that has remained a hallmark of the Payne-Phalen community for over 90 years will soon be decommissioned.

MnDOT begins construction on Highway 36 at English Street
