$30,000 loss: Thieves take New Brighton church’s solar panels


More than a dozen solar panels were stolen from the roof of United Church of Christ in New Brighton sometime in early September. The church said the total loss was around $30,000. After a few days of congregants and staff at United Church of Christ in New Brighton finding metal and wiring laying around the church, they discovered Sept. 6 that more than a dozen solar panels had been taken from the church’s roof.

Hansen Park set to reopen in October after long reconstruction

Arden Hills mayor running unchallenged

David Grant has been on the Arden Hills City Council since 2000 and has been mayor since 2010. 

Two terms in, Grant filed to run for a third, and in August, the filing deadline passed without anyone else joining the race.
