Aircraft Association holds monthly meeting

Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 54 will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 13 at the Chapter 54 building located underneath the airport rotating beacon at the Lake Elmo Airport. Use the south entrance to the airport.

Richard Braunig from the Office of Aeronautics at the Minnesota Department of Transportation will discuss the latest technology and enhancements that are available to general aviation pilots. These include: changes to Class B airspace; the new FAA flight service contract with Lockheed Martin; technology to receive in-flight real-time weather, traffic advisories, and notices to airmen; and satellite technology to provide lateral precision and vertical guidance for landing approaches to general aviation airports.
