Health fair and flu shot day

The Roseville Area Senior Program, Roseville Seniors At Home, and the Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency will co-sponsor a "Health Fair and Flu Shot Day" on Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Fairview Community Center, 1910 County Rd. B W., in Roseville.

Take a shot at the flu bug before it gets you! Flu shots are available for people 9 years of age and older for a cost of $25. A parent/guardian must be present for those under 18 years of age. The Pheumoniafax vaccine is also available for $47. Please wear short sleeves, needles will be used. Items to bring with you: flu shot vouchers from your HMO or Medicare; shot records; Medicare and supplemental insurance cards. No Medical Assistance will be accepted. If you have questions about flu shots and whether you should get one, contact your healthcare provider.

Ongoing events will also include a health fair which will consist of displays from service providers that have resources such as home health care, care giving, transportation, nutrition and more! There will be free health screenings such blood pressure, pharmaceutical, Glucose, hearing, and risk of falling. There will be two presentations by the Senior Linkage and Disability Line on the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Program at 9 and 10:30 a.m. There will be door prizes, a holiday craft and bake sale, and refreshments.
