Hurricane relief volunteers needed

Katrina Hope hurricane relief team members working in Ocean Springs, Miss., have represented eight states, logged 500,000 hours on the road and contributed more than three years full-time equivalent hours of service to help hurricane victims. The teams organized by Woodbury Lutheran and open to the community continue to serve the Gulf Coast on a regular basis.

Expenses are a requested $75-100 donation for gas share and out-of-pocket for meals on the road. Teams travel by carpool, are housed on the road and are housed and fed in Ocean Springs. Training and tools are available and the average trip is eight days.

Adults and youth age 14 and up (with parents) or age 16 and up with parental permission are welcome; trades people are especially needed for rebuilding efforts. The next trip leaves April 1. Call 730-5049 for more information
