North St. Paul purchases Speed Monitoring Trailer

The City of North St. Paul recently purchased a Speed Monitoring Trailer, adding to their bag of law enforcement tools. The state-of-the-art trailer has many features. Its computer can compile data for speed studies. Also, as well as displaying the speed the car going by is traveling in order to alert drivers to their speeds, it has the ability to shut the display off if it's tracking unsafe speeds. This has been found to be helpful in cases where a driver speeds past the sign solely to find out how fast the car can go. Those interested in having the trailer set up in their neighborhoods can call the North St. Paul police department, who will attempt to accommodate the requests. The trailer will not be put out during the winter because of plowing concerns. For more information, call 747-2512 and leave a message.
