ON COUNTY ROAD F

STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 

Notice is hereby given that the Arden Hills City Council will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Arden Hills City Hall, 1245 Hwy 96 W, to conduct a public hearing on whether to undertake the proposed street and utility improvement project. 

The proposed project includes the street and utility reconstruction of County Road F between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue, including intersection improvements at Innovation Way. 

The improvements are estimated to cost $2,329,655.42. The properties abutting the intersection improvements at County Road F and Innovation Way are proposed to be assessed for a portion of the costs of the project. A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing. 

Persons wishing to express an opinion regarding the improvement project are invited to attend and testify at the hearing or to submit written comments prior to or at the hearing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., the Arden Hills Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing for an application for a Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Conditional Use Permit, and Variance for a proposed redevelopment of the former Lake Johanna Fire Department station property located at 3246 New Brighton Road. These are the abridged minutes from the School Board meeting held on November 28, 2017, which were approved at the December 19, 2017, School Board meeting. 

The regular meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. 

Board Members present: Anderson, Azer, Boguszewski, Gogins, Shaw, Traynor

Administrative staff present: Derden, Loeck, Mobley, Schaub, Sicoli, Thompson, Von De Linde 

Reports and Non-Action Items: 

1. Shari Thompson, business manager, provided information about the long-term facilities maintenance and building bond process and projects. 

2. Todd Olson, college and career readiness administrator; Dr. Jenny Loeck, director of secondary education; and Jake Von De Linde, director of teaching and learning, provided an update on the various college and career readiness options available to students at Roseville Area high schools. 

3. Dr. Leona Derden, director of equity and elementary education, reviewed the district’s 2015-2017 Achievement and Integration plan goals. 

4. Dr. Loeck presented proposed revisions to Policy 504: School Attendance as a first reading. 

Action Items: 

1. The Consent Agenda including the minutes of the regular school board meeting on November 14, 2017; payment of bills; resignations, appointments, reductions, adjustments (with the exception of retirements); gifts; and construction career pathway alliance grant was approved. 

2. District administration was authorized to enter into contract negotiations with Kraus-Anderson to provide construction management services for Roseville Area Schools. 

3. The district’s 2016-2017 World’s Best Workforce (WBWF) report and 2017-2018 WBWF plan were accepted. 

4. New courses proposed for Roseville Area High School for the 2018-2019 school year were approved. 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:37 p.m.

2. District administration was authorized to enter into contract negotiations with Lawal Scott Erickson Architects, Inc. (LSE) to provide architectural services for Roseville Area Schools’ remodeling and construction projects. 

3. The Resolution Ratifying the Sale of General Obligation Facilities Maintenance Bonds, Series 2017B, in the Original Aggregate Principal Amount of $9,995,000 was adopted. 

4. The Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of General Obligation Building Bonds, Series 2018A, in the Maximum Aggregate Principal Amount of $144,000,000 was adopted. 

5. The final levy, in the amount of $37,918,320.10, was approved to fund the 2018-2019 school year. 

6. Policy 504: School Attendance was approved as a second reading.
