Fundraiser update
The situation for Jennie Johnson of Arden Hills, who at 59 has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that spread to her hip, has gotten even more challenging over the last few days.
Johnson’s daughter Jenny called the newspaper to say that her mother’s hip fractured “because basically the cancer has eaten through it.” Surgeons hope to repair the hip, but the family faces even more costs for Jennie’s care.
A fundraiser is slated from 4 p.m. to closing Friday, Jan. 25 at American Legion Post 39, 2678 Seventh Ave. E, North St. Paul.
