Taking flight

The American Indian Traditional Winter Storytellers annual event was held at Maplewood Middle School Feb. 7. Puppets and volunteers from the audience help tell the story of a pair of animals that switch tails and the consequences.

The Raptor Center concluded a presentation of birds of prey with the Bald Eagle, the second largest with a wing span ranging from 5 1/2 to almost 8-feet. Also appearing were a Merlin, American Kestrel, and Peregrine Falcon during the American Indian Storytellers family event.
