Unity through root beer at St. James

The Evangelism Committee of Saint James has organized a "Night to Unite" Aug. 7 in the parking lot of Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 460 W. Annapolis Street, West St. Paul, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Saint James will be offering free root beer floats to anyone who wants one. In addition, members will hand out children's Bibles for children and featuring different groups from the congregation on a makeshift stage in the parking lot. The Puppet theatre will present a short play. Music will be provided by the Saint James Hand Bell Choir, the Youth Band, a violin ensemble, and a coed barbershop quartet.

Tours of the sanctuary will also be provided for anyone interested in seeing the interior of the historic worship facility with its stained glass windows, suspension cross and Romanesque architectural features. Residents from outside the neighborhood are also encouraged to attend.
