East Sider wins prestigious Bush Fellowship


submitted photo • East Sider Pheng Thao has been awarded a Bush Fellowship to study culturally responsive ways to address gender-based violence in the Hmong community.

Out of 751 total applicants for the 2018 Bush Foundation Fellowship, 24 people, including a local East Sider, have been awarded fellowships to help them develop their leadership skills. The fellowship recipients were announced March 20.

Seventh-grader Luke Gullerud gets to live out many a kid’s dream: he helps out in an auto shop on weekends and during breaks from school, learning the tools of the trade.

Roseville council sees vision plan for Rice and Larpenteur area

The Roseville City Council got a look at a Rice Street/Larpenteur Avenue vision plan March 12 that could help guide the redevelopment of the intersection and the corridor in years to come.
