Neighbors came out for the sixth annual Big Truck Night on Aug. 9 during the History Cruzers Car Show in downtown North St. Paul. Children climbed trucks used by city public works and electric staff.

For the second year in a row, Mark Stember grew mammoth sunflowers from seeds in his front yard at Cottage Homesteads of Aspen. 

It’s part of an effort to inspire other seniors in the area to get excited about planting.

Local students win top innovation award for anti-bullying school program


Ambassadors for Respect students from ISD 622’s Next Step Transition Program received a plaque for innovation at the Minnesota State Government Innovation Awards on Aug. 8. Ramsey County Sheriff’s outreach center opens to reduce violence among youth, community

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office opened a new Community Outreach Office on Rice and Sycamore streets in St. Paul to curb violence and crime. 

It hosted a grand opening event there on Aug. 5.
